BALLYDUFF AFC NEWS
Sincere thanks to staunch Ballyduff lady Deirdre Foran who now lives in Co. Clare but whose heart and soul is deeply routed in her home place of Ballyduff, who recently sponsored a set of jerseys for the newly formed ladies’ team. Deirdre is a huge supporter of all things local, and the club is very grateful for her generous offer. Deirdre’s nephew Diarmuid presented the jerseys on her behalf and the ladies will wear them with great pride.
The Division 4 team were in hard luck to lose out on a league title when despite a hat trick, they were beaten 4-3 to a very good Tramore side. Paul Lenihan was announced as Division 4 Player of the Year.
The Division 3 team are very grateful to O Donnachas who sponsored a set of jerseys for the team. The coach John Walsh was presented with the gear by Tom Kennedy and the division 3 player of the year was named as Cillian Purcell.
Both teams enjoyed their end of season awards night in O Donnachas and thank the staff and management for their hospitality.
