Bridge Lessons, Easter Camp and Garda Community Van

COMMUNITY SURVEY

Following the recent community survey, we were invited to take part in, there will be a meeting about the results of the survey. The presentation will take place on Wednesday March 12th from 7.30pm to 9pm in Ballyduff Community Centre. All are welcome to attend.


BRIDGE LESSONS

Would you like to learn the game of bridge in a comfortable, relaxing environment? Beginners bridge lessons will commence on Wednesday March 19th at 7.30pm in Ballyduff Community Centre X91 XKR3. If you are interested in taking part, please call Elizabeth on 087 2067920.


EASTER CAMP

If you are aged between 6 years and 13 years old and would like to learn to cook some beautiful, tasty dishes, you are invited to take part in an Easter Cooking Camp. The camp will take place from April 14th to April 18th in Ballyduff Community Centre from 10am to 1pm. The cost is €110 which includes all ingredients, equipment and recipes. Everything is cooked by the participants, and they will bring their finished dishes home to enjoy and share with the family. BALLYDUFF AFC

Ballyduff AFC have released some very important dates in their annual calendar. Their popular Easter camp will take place from April 14th to April 18th and their Summer Camp will run from June 23rd to June 27th. These camps are very popular so check out the club’s Facebook page for booking details.


LGFA AWARDS SCHEME.

The Lidl Plus Rewards Scheme returned on February 17th and every ladies gaelic football team is in with a chance to win €50,000. We all have the opportunity to help our local team by collecting the stamps in Lidl when we are doing our shopping. Each time we spend €50 we receive a stamp and when 4 stamps are collected your card can be submitted. The club you have selected needs to collect at least 50 stamps to be in with the chance of winning. Please select Ballyduff Lower LGFA and help the team to have a chance of winning.


GAA LOTTO

Ballyduff Lower GAA club held their recent lotto draw on Sunday March 2nd and the numbers drawn were 4, 5, 15 and 20. There was no winner of the jackpot but the three lucky dip winners of €50 each were Mary Griffin, Mary Kenny and Fergus Dunne. The next draw will take place on Sunday March 16th and there will be a fantastic jackpot of €12,500 on offer.
Tickets cost just €2 each or three for €5 and can be purchases from all committee members, online or from the volunteer ticket sellers who will be at Centra in Kilmeaden on Saturday March 15th. This lotto is a major fundraiser for the club, and they are very grateful to everyone for their support.


CHURCH NEWS

Our parish choir rehearse every Wednesday evening in the church from 8pm to 9pm and are always on the lookout for new members. The choir really enhance our Sunday masses with their beautiful choice of hymns.
Anniversary masses can be booked for your loved ones for any of the weekend masses. The Saturday evening mass takes place at 7.30pm and on Sunday mornings at 10am. If you would like to book a mass please contact Ann in the sacristy or Linda Spillane.


GARDA COMMUNITY VAN.

The new Garda community van has proved very popular and the Gardaí have been delighted with the number of visitors they have received. On Wednesday March 12th the van will visit Kill Village from 10am to 11.30am, Dunhill Village from 11.45am to 1.15pm and Kilmeaden from 2.30pm to 4pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for people to report any worries or have some forms signed.
