GAA LOTTO
The numbers drawn in the latest lotto draw were 10, 15, 25 and 27 and there
was no winner of the jackpot. The three lucky dip winners of €50 each were
Eamon Daly, Liz Mooney and Noel O Sullivan. The next draw will take place
on Sunday November 10th and there will be a jackpot of €12,500 on offer.
Tickets cost just €2 each or three for €5 and can be purchased from any
member, online or from one of the volunteer sellers at Centra in Kilmeaden on
Saturday November 9th. This lotto is a major fundraiser for the club, and they are very grateful for the support they receive.
BEAT THE TRAIN.
All the gang at Waterford Suir Valley Railway remind you to save Saturday
November 16th in your diaries as the very popular Beat the Train for DSI is due
to take place. This is a very popular event which always attracts a big crowd.
The train will depart from Kilmeaden station at 9.50am to get into position at
the start line. All proceeds from this event go to Down Syndrome Ireland
Waterford and South Kilkenny Branch. To book your spot please contact 051-
384058 between 10am and 4pm.
QUIZ TIME
It’s time to break out the encyclopaedias and general knowledge books as
Ballyduff N.S’s Parent Council invite you to drop along to The Sweep on
Friday November 8th and test your knowledge in their fundraising quiz for
Ballyduff N.S. Quiz Master on the night will be John Carey and following the
quiz, you can dance the night away with Dirty Dancing Disco. If you would like

RECENT AWARD
At the recent Irish Hotel Awards held in Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co. Meath,
Waterford Castle were delighted to receive many awards. Among the recipients
was Gillian O Dea from Cullinagh, Kilmeaden was awarded the Wedding
Planner of the Year award. This is the third time Gillian has won this award
nationally and thoroughly deserves the accolade. She gives her clients the
attention to detail they require in planning their special day. We wish Gillian
and all at Waterford Castle every success for the future.
CUP TITLE
Congratulations to the young ladies from Ballyduff N.S who were the recent winners of the Roinn B Cup. On Wednesday October 23rd Ballyduff travelled to Walsh Park and were the outright winners of the cup. Congratulations to all the girls and their coaches.
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
On Saturday October 26th Rachael Butler Wall invited friends, family and customers to her beauty salon Radiance by RB to celebrate her first year in business here in Kilmeaden. Rachael has enjoyed a very successful first year and has provided a wonderful service to all her customers old and new. Her salon is welcoming and inviting and on Saturday she treated her visitors to some bubbly and nibbles to show her appreciation for all the support she has received. We wish Rachael continued success for the future.
NOVEMBER NOVENA.
The month of November is dedicated to all our loved ones who have gone to their heavenly reward. We offer extra prayers for them throughout the month. In Ballyduff there will be some Novena masses beginning on November 18th and ending on the 27th with a special candle mass for all those who have died during the past year. The names of those who died in our parish are immediately added to the list but if you would like the name of a loved one or friend outside the parish added please drop their name into the sacristy.
PROUD DAY
Congratulations to all those who graduated last week and the writer of these notes would like to congratulate her husband Brian Spillane who graduated at SETU with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Site Management. It wasn’t easy to return to study at the age of 51but he succeeded and all the family are very proud of him. Brian who is employed at SETU enjoyed his experience and is very grateful for the support and encouragement he received.
