GAA Lotto
The numbers drawn in the latest lotto draw were 13, 15, 17 and 27. There was no lucky winner of the jackpot so the pot gets bigger. The three lucky dip winners of €50 each were Joan Stephenson, William Murphy and William Harrington. The next draw will take place on Sunday December 4th in O Donnachas and will have a jackpot of €5,450. What a lovely amount to get your hands on before Christmas. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5 and are available from club members and will be on sale outside Centra all day on Saturday December 3rd.
November Masses.
I can’t believe we are already speaking about the last of the special November masses for the dead. The month has just flown by and we are now getting ready to head into the season of Advent. The last of the November masses on Wednesday November 30th at 7.30pm will be offered especially for all those who have died in the past 12 months. At this mass a representative of each persons family will be given a candle in their memory and this candle will remain lighting for the duration of the mass. If you have lost a loved one in the past 12 months and would like to have them remembered at this mass then please let me Linda Spillane know before Wednesday night. You can contact me on 051-399925 or 087-9838392.
What A Show!!
The Starstruck Theatre school which consists of boys and girls from the Ballyduff and Kilmeaden areas gave us a real treat last week in the community centre when they put on their show, “That’s what friends are for”. Written and produced by Damian Walsh this was a tale of how sometimes friends can fall out over silly little things which turn out to be important at all. The show was filled with singing, dancing and plenty of laughter. The cast and crew worked very hard to bring us a great nights entertainment. Well done to all the cast they all did a wonderful job and did Damian, their families and most importantly themselves proud. Starstruck will resume again at the end of January so watch out in these notes for details.
