Community Alert.

As we all know our local community alert have really brought a great sence of togetherness into our community. The text alert scheme which has been in operation for some time is now being rolled out into several other areas. This text scheme gives great peace of mind to people and has helped to solve many crimes.
The next meeting of this group will take place next Tuesday night March 28th at 8pm in Ballyduff Community Centre. It would be lovely to see some new faces at the meeting. You are asked for nothing in return just your attendance at a few meetings a year. Coffee Morning

The Waterford and South Kilkenny branch of Down Syndrome Ireland are delighted to be named as the charity benefiting from the Waterford Viking Marathon this year. To kick off the fundraising they held a coffee morning last Monday in O Donnachas, Kilmeaden. I have been to many coffee mornings in my time but I have never seen such a turnout. The people kept coming and a big well done to Seamus and Michelle Dunphy and their fantastic staff who made sure everyone was looked after and received a warm welcome. A huge thank you to all the the many sponsors for the day and all who donated raffle prizes and to all who donated to the cause. If you fancy taking part in some part of this years marathon please consider doing so for this group. You can sign up on WWW.DSIWATERFORD.IE
